Prof. Zhenxu Bai is the deputy director of the Center for Advanced Laser Technology of Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT), the deputy director of the Hebei Key Laboratory of Advanced Laser Technology and Equipment, and the advisor of OSA and SPIE student chapter of the HEBUT. He received his Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, China (cocutelle Ph.D. of Macquarie University, Australia from 2016 to 2018). Prof. Bai is the recipient of the 2018 Teddi Laurin Scholarship awarded by Photonics Media partnering with SPIE, the winner of the first prize of the Springer-Nature “Rising Stars of Light” in 2018, and the third prize of the China Laser Engineer Creator Competition in 2016.

At present, Prof. Bai has presided over several national and provincial scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province, etc. Zhenxu Bai is a youth committee member of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association, an editorial board member of Electro-Optic Technology Application, and a reviewer of journals including Optics Express, Applied Optics, Optics & Laser Technology, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, etc. With more than 50 papers and 10 authorized patents, his research interests include high power laser technology, nonlinear optics, and optical materials. Some of his research results have been reported by the well-known academic media such as the American Institute of Physics, Laser Focus World, etc.
